This heart-shaped lake, built in 1562, connects the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and is home to a towering monolithic Buddha statue that stands on a plinth in the middle of the water. A boat ride out to the statue, or simply a walk along Tank Bund and Necklace Road at sunset, is one of the most relaxing ways to experience the city.
